1st ANNUAL GO CART COMPETITIONFlorida Power & Light challenged the local middle schools to find an Alternative method of powering a GO CART. FPL gave each school a Go Cart frame and $750.00 in funds to produce a working,moving Go Cart. Green Shed Conversions was asked to be a Mentor for Dan McCarty School. We also helped out two other schools Forrest Grove and Northport Middle School. The heat was held May 22nd... and the winner is: DAN McCARTY SCHOOL.

We are very proud of the Students from Dan McCarty Middle School for all their hard work. And to all the parents who help, got the kids to the meetings, showed up all day in the hot sun yesterday and to P.K. Battery of Jacksonville, FL for DONATING the batteries for this event !

There were some great entries... A Compressed Air Go Cart, A Bio Diesel Go Cart, 3 Electric Go Carts, and A Solar charged Go Cart. All the Students from each school did a TERRIFIC job!!
