FORREST GROVE MIDDLE SCHOOL
and
PALM POINTE EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH SCHOOL @Tradition COME out and support the kids.The XE3 event is being presented as partnership between the Treasure
Coast Education, Research and Development Authority (TCERDA) and the St.
Lucie County School District as a way to expose middle school students
to educational and career opportunities in the field of technology. The
XE3, Florida, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to
enhance the educational success of middle school students through
innovative activities that focus on renewable and sustainable energy.
The XE3 event will feature Alternative Fuel Go-Kart Races between
eight different St. Lucie County middle schools from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on
Saturday, May 14 at the Treasure Coast Research Park, along with a
Green Expo which will highlight exhibits of conservation and sustainable
resource-based industries and educational program displays. Admission
to XE3 is free; however, parking is $3 to benefit the St. Lucie County
Sheriff’s Explorers. The event is supported by numerous community
partners including: Florida Power and Light (FPL), the City of Fort
Pierce, St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, the St. Lucie
County School District and Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers.
